Some of the folks on this site are undoubtedly users of RINA's software, but many are not ..... yet trading systems binds us all together as a common interest.
For those of you who may not be familiar with RINA's software, here's a quick synopsis from my point of view. I think any serious trader/investor, who's advanced as far as trading systems, needs to go to the next level with RINA's tools.
RINA Systems has created the most compelling software programs for serious traders and investors to be found anywhere. First evidence of RINA's creativity and deep understanding of trading systems was evident in Portfolio Maximizer for TradeStation 4.0. This program was recognized by OmegaResearch so it was later incorporated as the standard Strategy Performance report in the next release: TradeStation 2000i.
RINA's creativity is carried further in Performance Suite 2000 which includes Portfolio Evaluator 2000, MoneyManager 2000 and 3D SmartView 2000. Portfolio Evaluator extends the functionality in TradeStation's Strategy Performance Report to portfolios.
MoneyManager 2000 allows the user to determine "how much" to trade --- what I've come to determine is THE most important component of a complete trading system, but a question that is answered virtually nowhere else, except at RINA. With this software the user can apply money, scaling and equity management strategies to maximize returns while controlling risk. Money Management is an almost completely ignored area by most traders, yet research has shown it to dominate all other elements of trading system development and design.
3D SmartView provides three dimensional (actually, multi-dimensional) graphical views of trading system parameters to determine characteristics over a range of values to assure robustness and stability of one's trading system. Without this tool, one is literally "flying blind" when optimizing system parameters.
Finally ... RINA's PortfolioStream combines most of the features from the products above into a trading platform that ties seamlessly with TradeStation to automate the data gathering tasks and allow the trader to focus on the specifics of money management for his specific portfolio. For the first time one can run massive amounts of analysis on stocks, commodities, etc. and analyze their system performance records both individually and together as portfolios. Truly an incredible tool that takes trading system development and money management to the next level.
These tools are so unique and cutting edge, that I believe only the most sophisticate and advanced traders and investors are using these techniques. I find this another compelling reason to use these compelling products.
